Guidance in English

The steamship “Lenin” is the first ship of the Kolyma River Fleet. She was constructed in Japan and delivered non-assembled by rail to Siberia. The steamship was assembled by the Yakut shipbuilders in 1930. In 1931 the polar expedition was organized, which was instructed to explore the area from the mouth of the river Lena to the mouth of the river Kolyma with the purpose of determining the possibility for small vessels to carry out cabotage sailing along the northeast coast of Siberia. The crew of the steamship “Lenin” headed by the deep sea captain A.P. Bochek coped with the task. The steamship “Lenin” worked on the Kolyma for many years transporting cargoes from the mouth to the Seymchansk goldfields; after that she was returned to the Lena and in 1961- reconstructed into a motor vessel. So the second life of the ship began and lasted till 1971.

It is a small model of medium complexity with particular detailing and good colour range. The model is recommended for all admirers of civil fleet
