The screw steamer "Ioann Kronstadtskij" was built in Glasgow in 1889. 
She went down in history due to the fact that in 1897 
Admiral S. Makarov made his first Arctic voyage on her. 
Although the small steamer powered with 360 hp had a straight 
stem and sides, a flat rudder, a double bottom, a ballast tank, 
a steel hull with solid riveting, four bulkheads, compound systems, 
two machines of 260 rpm and even electric lighting,  
it was however decommissioned in 1948.

This simple, but quite an interesting model will suit the taste of admirers of civil fleet of the 1st half of the 20-th century
