The history of creation of the project "7" dates back to the beginning of the 30-ies, when the Soviet constructors faced the task of making of the destroyer that would excel its foreign analogues in armament and speed and at that would have a rather little displacement. In the final variant the destroyer had the standard displacement of 1548 ton and the full displacement of 2111 ton. In order to provide a sufficiently high speed - 38 knots - the ship hull was provided with impetuous lines with the unusually big length-to-width ratio: over 10:1. The destroyer "Razumnyy" is one of thirteen Pacific "sevens", the names of which unlike the names of the destroyers of other fleets began with the letter "R". It was laid in Nikolayev in 1936 under the name "Prochnyy". Then it was disassembled and transferred by railway to the Far East and in June 1939 - launched under the name "Razumnyy". It went into service only in October 1941. And at once at the "Razumnyy" they started the intense preparation for the future battles: training cruises, anti-submarine attacks, firing practice. At that time, in the first military autumn, the crew did not know yet, that they were to fight in the Extreme North... During the war years "Razumnyy" time and again had to fight with enemy submarines. On its combat account the "Razumnyy" has minimum two sunk enemy submarines. One of them was destroyed in the middle of November 1943 and the other - on the 8th of December 1944 - also by a number of depth bombs. The model has a black and white broken line camouflage. The colour corresponds to the Soviet Northern Fleet. Among the peculiarities of the model one should mention the excellent detailed drafting. The screws are printed with a bronze colour
