Hermes was one of the first motor tugboats of Bugsier shipping company in Hamburg. At the beginning of the second world war she was attached to the navy as a salvage tug. On July 19th, 1944 Hermes sank after a bombardment in St. Malo, France. After the war she was salvaged and repaired by the French. She served until 1974 as Teanace in the French navy.
